I love spring time in the garden. I like starting vegetables and flowers from seeds or bulbs and watching them bloom and grow, but it has become so much more than gardening as a hobby.

Being close to nature and wildlife has become therapy for the soul.

For a brief time, I get to be a part of the everyday world of the flowers and birds and wildlife of every kind. It is a gift to raise our spirits and make us smile and sometimes laugh with natures beauty and strength and wonder.

Love the birds. What is the name of the bird with the mottled blue and white breast?
You must have a really good camera!

I LOVE your photos!!! I do miss the abundance of dragonflies and lizards that we had in our yard when we lived in Louisiana. So many photo opportunities. What is the little blue and white bird?

Thank you so much! It does seem like the lizards and dragonflies just follow you around the garden waiting for a photo opportunity! They are so much fun to watch! I didn’t realize you once lived in Louisiana too! The small blue and white bird is a female Indigo Bunting. She was so cute! I’m so glad you enjoyed them! 😃

We lived at Pelican Point in Gonzales (near Baton Rouge) for 3 years. I have some wonderful dragonfly, lizard and bird photos from that time.
I LOVE the little female Indigo Bunting. She is so cute!
