A Bluebird Spring

One of my favorite things about spring is seeing the bluebirds return every year. Every February I clean and prepare the bluebird box for another season.

Last year, I was lucky enough to have two sets of hatchlings, and it was amazing to watch them mature and grow.

This year a couple has arrived, and their lives and antics and energy has been such an entertaining adventure to watch.

Eastern Bluebirds inspire with their beauty and resilience and strength, and make the world a much brighter place.

Hopefully soon new arrivals will emerge bringing joy and hope into the world with them. šŸ˜ƒ

Thank you so much! I put out a bluebird house couple of years ago, and I don’t think I had ever really seen any until the first ones moved in. They have been so much fun and so cute! I’m so happy you enjoyed them! šŸ˜ƒ

Great pictures of them! I have mountain bluebirds that nest in western juniper trees in my yard. I’m jealous of you because my birds are extremely camera shy.

Thank you so much! I would love to see a mountain bluebird! These are surprisingly not shy and have been a lot of fun! I do hear some chicks chirping, and she’s feeding them now so hopefully soon I may get some shots of them when they emerge. I’m so happy you enjoyed them! šŸ˜ƒ

Thank you so much Brad! I set out a bluebird house several years ago and luckily they’ve come back every year. Until then, I don’t know that I had ever seen any around here either. They are fun to watch and so cute and surprisingly not shy being around people. I’m so happy you enjoyed them! šŸ˜ƒ
