Back in February I posted Making a Bluebird House about an easy project I found online on how to build a bluebird box. After assembling and setting out the birdhouse, a family of Eastern Bluebirds were moving in the very next day.
Throughout the months I watched the couple come and go, and I knew that a larger family would soon emerge.
The male bird fed the family daily, and he was vigilant in watching over the new hatchlings. The sound of the chicks reverberated as he arrived with food.
The chirping stopped one day, and the family was gone. I was not sure what had happened for almost two weeks, but I finally got to see the now growing new arrivals.
They were so much fun to watch as he taught them to search for food while keeping them fed at the same time. Now the female is back on the nest, and they are starting all over again.

Well thank you! I love the bluebirds and they have just been a wonderful blessing! We have a new family on the nest now with eggs, and they have been so much fun to watch. I look forward to seeing the new babies. I used to see bluebirds when I lived in upstate NY. The preserve near us had nestboxes like this and it was always a treat to watch them. Haven’t seen them since moving to Florida 6 years ago. Yours are a huge treat.

This is great! We have some new baby birds that just hatched in our front yard. So cool! Some birds are now making a nest in our plants in the backyard!

You are welcome. Yes my son is loving it! We came across the nest by accident when my wife went to water the plants. It was so cool to see what they had already done. Do you have a water bath for the birds? Was thinking of getting one.

Birds can really need some help these days and your nice photos reminded me to the blackbirds nisting once in a big flowerpot on our balcony here in Berlin, quite strange
