During the cold winter months, I eagerly anticipate the return of warmer weather, sunshine and flowers blooming. This past year the blooms were incredibly abundant and beautiful.
I love being outdoors and close to nature, and I look forward to a new year of blooms and colors in the coming months. These are just a few from last year that make these bleak winter days a little brighter.

What fabulous photographs. You have captured the flowers so well. What kind of camera do you use? I am hoping to get a new one for better close ups, and welcome any advice.

Thank you so much!! What a wonderful compliment! I am very much an amateur at photography. I have a Canon Powershot SX40 HS. I wanted a camera that wasn’t too complicated with a built in zoom lens. It really does take good pictures for my needs and not terribly expensive. Hope that helps. Thank again! 😃

‘SW,’ Your love of color is all over these beautiful images. Particularly impressive is your attention to flower details, that makes your flower shares standout. Butterflies is my thing, and I suggest in concealed msg ((( that you explore capturing their eyes, to make your photos even more enjoyable))).

Thank you! I love butterflies too! One of these main reasons I plant so many flowers is to see the butterflies. I’m slowly learning to take images with more detail and I will definitely give that a try! Great advice! Thanks again! 😃
